Chocolate Cake with Coffee Creme

What you Need


The Cake

2 eggs

200 ml sugar

150 grams melted butter

1 and 1/4 tea spoons baking powder

2 table spoons cocoa powder

100 ml milk

325 ml flour


The Frosting

150 grams icing sugar

50 grams room temperate butter

2 tea spoons cocoa powder

1 tea spoon vanilla sugar

1 and 1/2 table spoons coffee


Coconut flakes (Optional)

What to Do

The Cake

  1. Wisp the eggs and the sugar together
  2. Add all the melted butter, baking powder, cocoa powder, milk and flour.
  3. Mix it all together
  4. Add the batter to a 2 pound baking tray and cook for 25-30 mins in the oven.
  5. To check if the cake is done, place a fork, needle or something similar in the cake, when there is no sticking to the fork, the cake is done.
  6. Take the cake out of the oven and let it rest for at least 30 mins.


Make the frosting

  1. Add all the ingredients to a bowl and mix properly. You should get a nice tick frosting.
  2. Use a knife to add the frosting to the top of the cake
  3. Sprinkle with whatever you want - I have used coconut flakes
  4. Enjoy with a cup of tea or coffee.
