Burger

What you Need


Burger Buns

250 grams of flour

1/4 tea spoon salt

1 table spoon dry yeast

50 ml water

125 ml milk

25 grams of butter


The Burger

500 grams of mince meat

1 shallots

2 fresh chilli

salt and pepper


The Wedges

1 kg baby potatoes

3 table spoons dry thyme or half a bunch fresh thyme

salt and pepper


The Garnish

4 slices of fresh pineapple (5-6 mm thick)

1 fresh chilli

Guacamole

100 grams chorizo

Spinach - optional

Tomatoes - optional

What to do


Start with the Burger Buns.

  1. Mix flour, salt, and dry yeast in a bowl
  2. Add room temperate water and milk (around 30 degrees)
  3. Mix it all together in to a nice dough.
  4. chop the butter into small pieces and knead the butter into the dough, using your hands. You should now get a nice soft dough.
  5. Cover with a tea towel and leave to rest for 1 hour.


Continue with The Burger

  1. Chop the shallots and chilli into small pieces
  2. Knead the shallots and chilli into the mince meat
  3. Divide the mince meat into 4 equal pieces.
  4. Season with salt and pepper
  5. Leave the meat to rest on the side, until it's at room temperature





The Wedges

  1. Set the oven to 150 degrees
  2. Divide the potatoes into boats
  3. Add thyme, salt and pepper to the potatoes.
  4. Cover a baking try with tin foil.
  5. Add the potatoes to the baking try and set in the oven.
  6. The potatoes need about 45 mins.



Continue with the Garnish

  1. Slice the chilli into small pieces
  2. Rub the chilli on both sides of the pineapple
  3. Chop the chorizo into small pieces



Back to the Burger Buns

  1. split the dough into 4 equally large pieces
  2. Roll the out like buns
  3. Set the buns on a baking try - remember baking paper
  4. Brush the buns with some water and add sesame seeds if you want
  5. Set the buns in the oven on 225 degrees for 10 minutes.

If you still have the potato wedges in the oven you can set these at on the lowest level and the buns in the middle


Now start frying The Burger

  1. Heat up the pan with some butter or oil.
  2. Fry the Burgers on both sides.
  3. Add the Chorizo to the pan in the middle of cooking the burger.
  4. use a spoon and pour some of the chorizo jus over the burgers.
  5. Take the burgers and the chorizo off the pan
  6. Fry the pineapple in the same pan as the burgers/chorizo

Putting the Burger together


  1. Split the buns into two pieces
  2. Add Guacamole to the bottom piece
  3. Then the burger
  4. and the pineapple
  5. Drizzle the chorizo on top
  6. Serve with potato wedges and some fresh spinach and tomatoes
